HISTORY
Stretchneck are a Rock and Roll band with strong American rock and blues influences. Names like Johnny and Edgar Winter, Rick Derringer, Mountain, Montrose, Boston, and of course, Van Halen, all spring to mind. But lets not forget our own 'greats', like The Who, Stones, Small Faces and of course Gary Moore. They're all here in our music. In fact it was the sheer aggression of a certain Mr Pete Townshend that steered me personally away from the soppy pop of the late sixties.
The name 'Stretchneck' actually goes back to the mid 1980's when me and my brother Clint formed a band and did loads of gigs in and around London. Before Stretchneck though, we were called Thor, long before a Canadian band adopted and registered the name. Check out our photo album!

NOW
Stretchneck are a Rock and Roll band and although we still take our music very seriously, i feel its time to just have fun and enjoy the stuff we do. In those days I played a Gibson SG Special (just like Pete Townshends) through an Orange half stack, but Howards 100w Hiwatt valve PA amp (and 4x12 column speakers !) has made way for a modern 1000w Yamaha unit. --- Tony
